International Conference        "Limits - Borders - Boundaries" 2.-8.8.2019, Springe, Germany

04/01/2019

The topic of 'borders' is acute in recent times because large groups of refugees from the political, social and economic conflict areas of our world are trying to overcome the seas, walls and fences to get to wealthy and democratic countries. But in almost all areas of life and society boundaries play a central role.

PART A - SOCRATIC DIALOGUES

2nd to 4th of August 2019

In Socratic Dialogues of 8 to 10 participants we try to discuss the topic of borders, boundaries and limits from various viewpoints.

Previous philosophical knowledge is not required, since the discussions develop from concrete experiences of the participants.

PART B - LECTURES AND WORKSHOPS

4th - 7th of August 2019

As a frame for discussion we have selected three subject areas.

PHILOSOPHY- DIALOGUE - EDUCATION

POLITICS - SOCIETY - CIVILIZATION

MAN - EXISTENCE - CULTURE

We want to discuss these subject areas in lectures and workshops that are as open as possible, offer ways of interactive  participation and address the controversial positions in a clear and constructive manner.

PART C - 7th INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM

7th - 8th of August 2019

The International Colloquium 'Dialogical Practice and Dialogical Philosophising' takes place once a year, every time in a different European country. It brings philosophical and dialogical practitioners together to engage in an exchange about their approaches and methods.

Interested participants, who are active in this field, can already contact us to enquire about the conditions of participation.
